This book publishing lark is much tougher than everyone thinks Steve?
Many thanks for the recommendations. I have posted some of the recent books that i have read on another thread on this site?

"Forced out" did very well but there are no plans to release it as a paperback at the moment- thats down to my publisher. If you email the publisher (book guild) it will put the owness on them to produce it.. Or you could ask your local library?

As for "Honourable Retribution" it is has had good feedback. Word of mouth seems to be working fine- let me know what you think or better still post a review on amazon?

Not by strenth by Guile is a good read, does go into all his experiances in battle as well as his social side in being a marine. Very good book!

I have read 'Amongst the Marines' and I enjoyed it as an entertaining read. I am in no position to judge the veracity of Steve Preeces claims and so would not begin to try to. I was just interested in what it is about the book which people find inspirational? I did enjoy it and whilst it did nothing that would have put me off from joining the Marines, after all every group of men has its loose cannon, it also did nothing to inspire me to join them. Does anyone have any feedback on this?

What inspired me was the immense pride, honour, and respect all these men shared for each other and themselves.

Also the attitude that seperates the marines from civi street, the sort of hard working, indistructable, confident, proud, and shut the phuk up and train attitude.

Bates my friend you couldnt have put that any better. Thats exactly why its such a great read. Even in my TA platoon you get these sort of feeling so i cant wait for Royal Marine commando side of life.

Did you listen to Talk 107? Adrian Allen and I talked about my latest book "Honourable retribution", We got talking, and mentioned your books "Steve" which run hand in hand on the subject of de-stressing and life in Civvy street?

Got to say -Adrian Allen-Is probably one of the best radio presenters I have worked with!! Listen to his show Am weekends 6am -10am You can get it on the net if you dont live around the East Scotland area?

He asked me about the sequal! Bl**dy hell- Its hard work writing fiction unlike some who have good ghost writers!!

If anyone has written a book about their experiences- submit it via the guidlines to Charentepublishing.com

Im currently reading a book now by an ex Royal Green Jacket.

Passed the combat infantrymans course at the age of 31, went to Iraq and experianced some realistic encounters of war. A very good book for anyone looking for a good read and another decent non-fiction story.

'SQAUDDIE' By Steve Maclaughlin.

very up to date with current affairs!!

You did, but this one's better coz I was a little sloshed when I wrote the last one. It was meaningless and needed replacing. Sorry Guys.

Talking about books though, I guess I need to get my finger out and finish the novel I'm working on. I've been really busy recently and have found it hard to stay focused on my writing.
