20th June PRMC passed

Post by steve6887 »

allright guys just to say that i had my prmc on 20th june and passed. PRMC was everything i expected, bottomfield was by far the hardest. For those who worry about scores:

Press ups 37
sit ups 74
pull ups 3
bleep test level 12

everybody on the course who did not quit on anything either passed or were put on the PRMDC course. so dont give up.

Well done mate!

Good to know you can pass if your press-ups count is in the 30's!

I'm doing around 40 at the moment if I push myself. Still got a month and a bit to go to get it up some more though.

Got a date for RT yet?

cheers lads about 4 people dropped out of the 3 miler which is easy. and about 5 dropped out of bottomfield which is the hardest exercise on the course but determination pulls you through. 4 people were accepted on the prmdc course this was because they were a bit slower on the running and never got very good times on the assault course. Gym test 2 is always a hang out but good fun apart from the sprints at the end.

try to do press ups after some physical training when you are tired as before i went down i was pumping out sets of 40 easy but when it came to gym test one i was knackered and didnt have the energy.

well done mate, well pleased for you. youve gave me confidence, because those are the same kind of scores i got RMAD, well chuffed!

just wondering though, what is the general feeling about PRMDC, is it frowned upon?

cheers joe

Congratulations mate, nice work.

Does anyone know what happens if you are put on a PRMDC course, do you stay at CTC after your failed PRMC or go home ? How long is the course ?

although i dont know what the prmdc is?
If you fail the PRMC by a few points then they can put you on the PRMDC course. It just gives you a chance to get your phys and stuff up, I believe. As far as I know though you'll only get put on the course if you only just fail.

Yeah PRMDC is if you only just fail. What you do is you go to CTCRM for 4 weeks and they get you to PRMC standard. You do PRMC and if you pass, you go straight into RT.

Congrats Steve by the way :) One quick question, before the 3 miler, what was involved in the warmup? On my one I only did one or two sprints and a few press ups. I've heard they have made this harder now, that true?

cheers for all the support guys. DAVEB the warm up before the 3miler lasted about 10 minutes, just a couple of sprints and stretches. I wouldnt worry to much about the 3 miler as it is led by the corporal who runs at quite a slow pace. Yeah the PRMDC course is a 4 week fitness build up that get you PRMC fit.
