I keep getting really bad cramp?! can anyone help?
thanks for all your replies everyone, have been away for a few days so not been on to get back to anyone, wasnt being ignorant! yeh i kind of get the cramp in my left arse cheek sort of where your leg moves if you know where i mean and it goes right down the back of my leg, thing is about working in the cold i'm doing it all the while as i work in a big butcher wearhouse place and i'm working in up to minus 28 degrees when i go into the intake freezer to get stuff out so i'm not really avoiding the cold during any time, i also get some cramp in my foot but thats hardly ever, i try and keep the salt in my diet at a pretty reasonable level, i do stretch off and warm up/cool down properly and the cramps been happening for weeks now, i was in the missionary position haha! hope thats answered most of the questions as now i cant remember what people have asked in all the replys!
i will go and see a doctor, i've just bought myself some lucozade hydroactive, apparently its very good for replacing salts and liquids that your bodys lost during training! i'll give it a shot see how it goes, done some sprinting over the weekend and seemed quite comfortable doing it without any cramp thankfully! whoever said to let her do the work is right....will definately them do it from now on haha![/quote]

will do mate, yeh its a pain when you cant train especially when you live pretty much in the middle of nowhere so cant really go out and do much and the only people who are around locally to hang about with are the village idiots standing doing their drugs thinking their nails, rather stay in to be honest! each to their own but its not my type of thing i'm not critisising them i'm sure to them doing what they do is like me doing what i do, i think their stupid but they probably think i'm stupid running and stuff! oh well!:D

I dont know if you've tried taking potassium tablets or not but they can help to prevent cramps or even having a bannana before your training as thats pretty high in potassium.
I was given the advice by an ex navy seal as when I used to swim I had shite loads of cramps in the legs. Since taking 2 tablets before training I dont suffer the cramps at all not even after 4 hour swims!
You can get the tablets from holland and barrett, it might not work for everyone but it sure helped me.
Best of luck though
