Pretty ecletic choice there Sarasto, I like it!

The only ones I recognise by sight are "Welcome to the Jungle" and "Paint it Black" but not that version lol!

Aye, not a great version of Paint it Black, but it's easier to run to than the thumping, er, sitar rhythmns in the original

PS I'm sure you would recognise most of them by sound, especially Sinnerman, Green Onions, Little Green Bag and the Propellerheads tracks.

Aye Little Green Bag a la Reservoir Dogs!

In my circuit training class, the trainer can't be arsed to change his ancient tapes of 2002 era pop. So we all know when the breaks etc are coming up lol, no matter what interval times he uses. We had a different trainer in for a while and it was amazing the difference some new background music made to motivation.

Angry aggressive rock music. Just the job. Only problem is when I start singing along or playing air guitar. Get some right funny looks when that happens.

Guns N Roses works very well, as does Velvet Revolver and Slipknot. I used to used Pitchshifter, but trying to run along to 187bpm confuses my legs! 8)

Been listenign to a fair bit of napalm Death and morbid angel when running. But i found listening ot the Band of the Royal Marines works very well when on a cool down cycle as it sets a good steady beat to work to.

Very nostalgic Sonne!

I like listening to chilled out stuff like Kings of Convenience when I'm putting the miles in. For shorter harder runs I listen to a mix of dance stuff. Hard dance is always good.

Best tune to run to though bar none - Proclaimers, 500 miles. Awesome!

Nostalgic? I'm 20, nah i've grown up with music and have always been slap bang i nthe middle of performances. So i appreciate quality and technical prowess. Not surprising the RM band is on my list then. The pipes and drums of the Black Watch are in my playlist alnong with a stack of tracks by the Guards regiments.

I've timed my playlist to go along with my normal 3-mile run time. I've got a mixture of reggae, classic rock and hard rock. For the last 10 minutes I've got an opera piece and finish off with the Welsh national anthem to give me the last push.

Yup lots of music in Welsh too... Infact i have a ridiculous number of songs on my playlist that are in languages i cant speak a word of. Russian folk songs are great to listen to durin something particularly grueling and punishing... Keeps you i nthe right frame of mind.
