Just a couple of questions for any who might be able to shed some light on them.
I got a last minute phone call to start at ATR Winchester on the 20th of March, which i snapped up but was curious as to:
how hard it actually is?
Is it a good idea to put some money aside to take down with me?
Should i take an Ironing board or just buy one when i get there?
Is it a good idea to travle down in a suit?
Cheers for all the help provided.

As much as I am no grammer or spelling supremo... this shocks me. Here, 'para001' let me help you:para001 wrote:take some cash with you coz u need things which arnt on the packing list...... buy a ironing bored wen u are there.. go in a suite if u like, but make sure u look smart wen u get there... and enjoy
Now I'm well aware of the sliding standards in schools and should any of that be the result of a poor education, fair enough. But the 'txt spk' crap is unforgivable.para001 should have actually wrote:Take some cash with you because you need things which are not on the packing list... how hard is basic....???
thats something only u will be able to answer, for alot of people it is physically demanding for others its mentally demanding...I was quite lucky i was in my twenty's (so fairly mature) and had quite a strict up bringing so the disciplin and mental stuff was easy enough and as long as ur reasonably fit u should be fine....remember no matter how unfit u think u are u can gaurantee there'l be people alot unfitter there than you....
just dont get obsessed with fitness ur not joining the SAS...
just try and prepare mentally by that i mean makin sure ur ready for being away from friends and family and being shouted from the off...
as they say LEAVE UR CIVVY HEAD AT HOME...
but overall from iv'e spoken to and my own experiances it seems basic is alot EASIER than it was say ten yrs ago.....
hope this helps.
