This might seem like one of those daft in the extreme questions. But if the Mod can buy a tank or fighter plane from an arms manufacturer, is it possible for me to buy my own Challenger tank.....for my own use? :vamp:
i realise, i can't get the big gun, but i don't relly want one, i just want the tank seeing as we will spend the forseeable futre fighting THE WAR AGAINST TERROISM (TWAT)

Course you can... Join up and you can get one for free with a gun and bullets to put in it and bad guys to shoot at and a hat and a radio and people to talk to on the other end and... the list is endless.

Wouldn't an Action Man tank be cheeper!

You can always use the exscuse of 'you bought it for the kids'

. And I don't see why you couldn't buy a Challenger (after weapon and any restriced gizmos are taken out), if there are actually any surplus tanks around.

Probably invaluable in lectures!

Theres another one called www.boysstuff.co.uk that probably has the same kind of stuff...not looked yet!

Don't know about Hollywood actors but doesn't Jeremy Clarkson have a English Electric Lightning in his front garden, s'pose it beats a gnome sitting fishing from a toadstool.

Theres a bloke lives about 7 miles from the stately pile who owns an old second hand APC. He lives in it apparently. When he can afford the fuel he drives it around the fields near Carveley on the main Chester road.

I have heard tell that you can buy a working Chieftan Tank for a couple of grand. Or an old Abbot 105mm for even less. Imagine the panic you could cause when pulling up at the local petrol station forecourt and saying "Fill her up mate..... Or else"

well i ain't sure about the challenger but you can get T-55,s T-77,s and a few other the T-55 is around £20,000 the T-77 is around £40,000 you can drive them on the roads with a normal car licence wont be to good on fuel consumption though

I`d have thought they are a piece of cake to park anywhere you feel like

It isn`t the fuel costs that made me give mine up, it was the maintenance costs. And the new engine every two hundred miles. It spent more time parked on the verge outside me house than on the road
