Fitting your fitness training into daily life?
Fitting your fitness training into daily life?
I was just wondering how everyone copes with fitting their fitness training into their lifestyle. How do you manage to juggle both? Im starting to find it really hard to fit everything into one day as i normally have college, work and then try and find time for fitness without skanking my mates to much. I know once ive got my prmc date though that i will concentrate fully on my fitness and evrything else will have to wait.

Skank your mates. Whatever that means. You have to prioritise and you should be taking a much longer term view of your training. You should be building youself up so you are fit to start recruit training then whatever date you have your PRMC you'll be fit to pass that as well.

You don't need lots of time to fit it in, if you go about it the right way. Me personally I struggle to fit it in as well, but theres some things you have to sacrifice. Your friends will understand if you spend an hour or 2 in the gym or running and not with them. After all this is your future career, and normally friends are pleased maybe even proud to have a friend in the forces.
Is there a gym in your college, I have got 1 in college so on a Monday, for example, I go to the college gym twice between letures and don't go to my normal gym on a Monday night. Other nights I have to go the gym instead of seeing my girlfriens for 3 hours ill see her for 1, she understands its what i want to do in life. If friends get funny with you, put the boot on the other foot, one of your mates may spend time in the college library when your not, this is no different.
Mens Health magazine is good for half hour work outs, get a copy and have a read it may help a lot.

Cheers for the advice wannabe_rock. I'll pick up a copy as soon as i can. Theres a gym in college so im going to start using it during lunch or going for a run.
As for my mates they havent been funny yet but if they do i will explain to them that it is my career and how hard it is to get into the marines.
Cheers

Fcuk your civvy mates. The mates you make in the corps i imagine will be better than a civvy mate could ever be. Just an observation iv made since joining the paras.
As for fitness...its not the time im short of, its the will power to get out of the door and do some phys! Ever since finishing training i wouldnt say iv become 'unfit' but im no way as fit as i was during training. As for hc00, you have got it sorted getting up at 5:30 to do your phys. Stick with that and you will see your fitness level go up and up.

Hello the underscore trainee,
in answer to your question:
In fact Paras can still be seen fighting, drinking and giggling at girls well into their thirties.
The only way for a Para to override this brain-washing is by successfully growing a tache. Upon which time they will either be a) promoted to an NCO or b) ejected from the Regt.
Hope this helps

in answer to your question:
Yes - it is true. Between your sixteenth and seventeeth birthdays is the only time that the maroon machine can successfully cryogenically freeze your brain so that one never matures mentally beyond these years.is it true you can only be 16 - 17 to join the paras ?
