Carrying a load whilst breaking in your boots!!??!!

Post by chrisburden21 »

Hi all,

I have been issued with my CAB's and am in the process of breaking them in, I have done a few walks over the Sussex Down's and am now looking for advice as to whether its a good idea to start to carry loads at this stage? I am looking at around 20kg, would this be a sensible weight to work with? The walk itself is around the 10km mark(I am aware that during training we will be covering distances upto 25km).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

CB.

dont bother carrying weight, it will do more damage than good, and there stacks of evidence medically and from personal experience to prove it.

just walk the boots in and keep up with circuits and cardio phys

Ive been told to leave the weight until you do it in training, cause theres like a certain method or something to it.

Also, doing walks/runs with wieghts in a bag also draws the attention of police, as passing police think youve just burgled someone, and passing people phone the police for the same reason.

Wearing black coveralls and a ski mask seems to elicit the same response when hanging around banks and jewellers, but does get your sprint times down.
