Good on you for apologising Nocturnal and I'm NOT claiming to be ex Marines - As someone pointed out (rather harshly I think), I merely got over the first hurdle.
To be honest, the fact that I went for a civvy job after all that effort probably means I wasn't right anyway.
As for the fitness aspect - It was tough but I was competing in Surf Life Saving Ironmans (lots of swimming, board paddling and sea kayaking) at the time and was a total exercise freak.
Bit more sensible now but still train a lot, however any serving Marine is probably twice as fit and three times more determined than me.
Anyway, I'll leave you guys to it and bother you no more.

Nocturnal, Fair Play Mucker and MattR32 excepted you apology cant ask for a better ending than that. There are a lot of SIDEWALK COMMANDO'S
out there and some are REALLY CONVINCING to the less knowledgeable.
On reflection I would have had a doubt or two in my mind about his authenticity, I mean "ASTRA SPORTS FORUM" come on, THATS FAKING SAD, mind you Nocturnal, WHAT WERE YOU DOING LOGGING ON THAT SITE.
Yeah OK, you couldn’t SLEEP. Image

Cheers JWT.

Fair plays all round. You're right Matt, it was a bit harsh - I apologise. Group hug?

Truth to tell, keeping with the car theme - the head gasket went on my old Peugeot 405 yesterday so I suppose I was letting off steam (no pun intended) tomorrow I'll be letting off steam in a far more constructive way - at the knobber who told me it was ok and put an MOT on the car - burst of 3 to 5 anybody?
