recruitment

Post by melly_742 »

Hi guys, just wondered if anyone knows about the state of recruitment in the Navy at the moment? and if its different with officers and ratings? I can't seem to find information about it.

also, does anyone know if you can arrange a visit to a station or anything, as i know you can with the RAF.

Thanks

Go to the official navy website www.royalnavy.mod.uk on there if you

look around its got tons of info, also it will tell you where all the army

careers offices are, so you will be able to find out the nearest one to you.

What do you mean about the state of recruitment? you mean how long does it take to get through the process and stuff?
Cause if thats what you mean then i can tell you that it all depends on which branch you wish to enter. Stuff like, AirCraft Handler is 2 years waiting list. Survival Equiptment is 15 months waiting list. and few others are quite a wait, If your looking to go in as OM (Operator Mechanic) or MA (Medical Assisstant) you will probably be snatched up, they need them more, so your probz looking at your whole recruitment process being about 5 or 6 months, but thats just on average. I dont know about officers sorry, but just go down to the nearest careers office near you, express interest, and you can ask all the questions you want, they are real friendly, cause remember your still a civy.
