Post by davo141 »

Why o why on gods green earth do students get discount every ****ing where!!

when anybody im with ever asks for forces discount that evil stare comes out!

They moan they have no money due to debt but how do they manage to go and get pissed once twice a week??

Should there be more discount for people who acctually do good, voluteers and charity workers maybes?

Some of us have to work 45-50 hours a week AND study a full time degree in order to survive. And some of us go out on the piss once a TERM. Tar, Brush, and all that.

I for one am grateful for every discount I get, because I need them.

However, forces should get more as well, although I guess the student discounts are aimed at getting people who can't afford higher education into universities.

Students are a dreg in society mate and that’s all there is to it.

To many people go to uni now to do fecking useless course like leisure and tourism or media studies, they will still end up in some office somewhere working for minimum wage so why put it off for 4 years.

Irish, don't get me wrong, I’m sure its tough learning the correct way to put a beach towel out for hotel guests to take.

I'm not against going to uni, I think it should only be for the people who are actually smart enough to go though, or people who are going to study something productive like teaching, engineering, medicine, science etc. no more of this I spent 4 years at uni learning creative fecking writing or the history of Greek art ( I actually know a girl who wants to do that ) and I’m now working in a field completely different from what I wanted to do because I’m 10K in debt and need the money.

Just seems like a waste of time and money to me.

I heard that a part of the second year consisted of touring the UK wearing loud shorts and white socks, looking for the Loch Ness Monster.

What can I say mate, I was this close to but decided to opt for "European Studies".
The basis of the course so far has been to view an endless collection of Private dvd's featuring Sylvia Saint and Danielle Steel until 2 in the morning. :D

AHHH surf studies 8) so the rumours are true then, possibly the one pointless uni course that I would do. Just for the hell of it.

I also heard you can now get a degree in David Beckham :o I wonder if there is a degree in streaking and being naked in public?

Can anyone else name any weird and offbeat totally pointless waste of money degrees that can be earned.

I've also heard that you can get a degree in playstation, and one in gravedigging.
