MPGS

Post by 72TonneBeast »

Is it possible to transfer to the Military Provost Guard Service while currently serving in the army? heard a rumour recently that it is possible to do so. My though was that you had to leave the army and re-enlist on a local engagement to join, any thoughts on this??

You should be able to transfer ok but bear in mind that any transfer to 2/3/4 RIR will terminate in 2007 anyway as those battalions are being disbanded.

cheers for the response guys but the mpgs isnt in relation to the RIR in anyway. Was gonna return to UK and lay down some roots so joining the MPGS is a good way of keeping my hand in on the green stuff, with the bonus of leading a normal life and going back to my own home at the end of the shift. Gotta start meeting the woman half way sometime :P

Well in the meantime you always have another suntan to look forward to mucker. :P

Give my regards to Mickey and tell him KD has surfaced. Saw him in Norn Irn weekend before last. Many biffs sunk and a great night had by all.

Don't forget now - Durham Troop beckons in six weeks. Serving members always welcome. If you want tickets PM me and I'll put you onto uncle Jim 8)
