RM Photos (resized)

Post by chris78290 »

Whilst down in Pompey for T200 and IFOS I got some good phots of some of the RM displays and also some of the patrols going about the Solent. I don't know the rules about posting images on here so if i've broken any then mods please feel free to remove the pics.

Some nice photos, thanks for sharing them.

Their little fort they have built is far better than the one that I built in my bedroom! :D

Hmmmm the carrier in that pic has 3 masts...... that can only mean one thing. Yep no doubt about it, thats Illustrious.

I was priviliged enough to be stitched with night working during the fleet review, so luckily I was asleep when the queen sailed past. Infact I think I slept through most of the intresting stuff. Did see the fireworks though.

That display was awesome. It was worth the journey down and the entry fee just for that alone.

I had a good day there though. It's a shame something like it can't happen every year.

Chris you have a point there...

Either my eyes are mistaking me too, but I do believe that ship is Ocean...

Powder Monkey, I am concerned, if you are conisdering joining the RM's, do you not think you should be able to identify one of the main ships they use? Even more so, the difference between an heli and plane carrier?

Just a thought......

Should the boys in the RIB be wearing paper bags over their heads?

And a top tip for you all....

Don't stand in front of a Viking - they've all been grounded. Apparently a working set of brakes are optional !!!!!!
It's not how many posts you have made......It's the quality of what you say when you get here.

No! They would all be LC rates.
The only paper bags they require is the one that holds their bag lunches!!

Holy Crap!

Powder Monkey are you serving on Illustrious?!?! How the hell can you not know what ship it is?! Were you on the right ship?
