I found out that the rate of pay for a Marine on entry is £11,774 a year. but, I haven't found how what the daily rate of pay is.
so far I have this information: 30 days a year paid holiday, and public holidays are free.
what other free time do marines have? one day a week free? two? one day a fortnight free?
anyone care to enlighten me?

Pay
Beardo, you're info must be out of date. After 6 months assuming you've passed wk 15 (Baptist Run) you're on £37.99 a day. Translates to around £800/month take home. Don't know before, was around £640, so prob now about £660 take home.
During training, normally Sat pm and Sundays off. After wk 8 you can leave at close of play on Sat and return by Sun eve. Before then you have to be back by 2200 Sat night, then can go out again Sun. Every now and then you get a long weekend, ie leave Fri pm back Sunday. Depends on training commitments, occasionally you'll get very little or no weekend.
Units, when on base, Wed pm sport, Fri thin out about midday til turn to Mon morning. But obviously away a lot on deployments, exercises and other training evolutions.
