This is the thread to discuss new military hardware that is entering service in the British Armed forces now, soon or in the near future. Weapons like the Eurofighter, Joint-Strike Fighter, SA80 A2 etc. etc.

Come on fellas don't bag the old Land Rover, despite their shortcomings I have embarrassed a lot of people in my old rover! Farking thing can go some strange places (Rabbit and Possum shooting is way better with a heater on at 11 PM on a frosty night), HUMVEE is way bigger too, but up to the forces to decide what they want

Yeh the land rover is a piece of british military history. I think instead of replacing it they should get a newer version, with all the mod cons. :D

nothing wrong with landrovers, amazing vehicles, and they do replace them with new ones everytime landrover bring out a new model

ie 200tdi was replaced by 300tdi and then td5

i can see this new humvee style thing being a bag of shit to be honest, if its follows the recent army tradition of it it aint broke mess about with it till it is

the SA80a2 has a number of modifications, that supposedly make it a better rifle, but being a stab i wouldnt know because we only get SA80a1's to practice with and then get given an SA80a2 when mobilized

but due to the fact that and i keep my rifle spotless and well oiled but always seem to end up doing stoppage drills on range days i think its a bag of w@#k but im only going on what ive been told as ive never fired any other rifle

SA80a2 is much better from what ive been told
