My farther was in 42 commando in the falklands war and gulf, and served 22 years in the heavy weapons unit. So... if you dont have family Members that were involved, what are your insperations? :D

Daryl, if your Dad read that he would choke you. Grab a dictionary, or cut and paste from Word, after spellchecking if you cannot spell.
You should talk to somebody who gives a f**k.

I was inspired by a man who was a training officer in the Royal Marine Cadet unit I attended in Aylesbury. A real rough diamond, terrified most people but he had a heart of gold.

Daryl, your Dad will tell you, check everything, then check it again. Pay attention to the finest detail. Good luck.

Grandfather was a sneaky beaky before they were sneaky beakies (one of the submarine frogmen from WWII, from whom the SBS was constructed; they conducted sabotage missions and so forth on Japanese islands in the Pacific). Strangely enough though, I only realised this after I became interested in joining, since he died when I was v young from (ironically) a stroke while playing golf...just before the 18th hole.

Little of this has anything to do with my 'inspiration' though
