All I was trying to put across was that in todays expeditionary warfare as well as internal security duties, you never know when or where the enemy, in whatever guise, will turn up.

Enemy front or are they watching you logs support areas? We do it, so why should we be so suprised when they do?

Females are around to stay, and they do, by and large a good job in the roles they have. As for them on Ops, I've done tours when there were girlies about, even mixed accommodation, and it wasnt any bother. They had to shave before you knew they werent blokes anyway.

My view is and will always be, if they pass the course under the same conditions and standards as men then they have a right to serve regardless of sex. As for saying women have no place anywhere they can be in contact with the enemy, rubbish, absolute rubbish. The days when just the infantry were at risk have long gone - just look at some of the casualties/KIA from Telic. So should we get rid of all the female cooks, nurses, mechanics, drivers, clerks, police etc etc ????
