Bob, this belongs in the 'Joining Royal Marines' forum; stand by for a Tardis shift.
You should talk to somebody who gives a f**k.

motivation is a really important part of any persons training, i dont think it gets the attention it deserves on this site, there appears to be too many little rambos telling people that they dont need motivating. well i think people should put there best motivating points so people who find it hard to get back into a program for any reason such as injury or whatever can get a boast, i would suggest getting a good royal marine book or video and when youve got some free time after work have a read or whatever, then get out there and you'll have clear in your mind the reason that your running,

i cant wait for the comments after this (little rambos!!!)

Couldn't agree with you any more. If you have motivation, then everythink else should fall into place. I also think there should be a thread about motivation tips. Not that I need it

Get yourself a date for PRMC, knowing that its coming is best motivation you could ever get.

Are you saying that you passed all the other tests, but didn't get it done within 22.5 or 22 1/2 minutes; or did you quit during the run mate?

Punctuation, prefixes, capitals etc etc.
The English language is evolving, certainly. However, what we have should not be wrecked through laziness. It's actually quite satisfying to write and talk eloquently.
Your instructors will expect and demand attention to detail. Believe it or not, it starts here.
This little foray is not intended to belittle or annoy you, or anyone else. Instead it is an attempt to make your life easier when you get to CTC. Honest.

Motivational tips? Before the PJFT, running 1.5 miles in sub 9 minutes. That's your goal. Before PRMC, running 3 miles in sub 20, then immediately maxing the RMFA scores. Training, passing each week at a time. When you get near the end, your green lid. Those are your goals. At least on my part, I needed no motivation other than the thought of crossing the bridge on the 30 miler, and the thought of the night after me missus had been sat in the stands all day wet in the knickers at the sight of me all trussed up in me blues and green lid 8) And the small matter of the old, "Royal Marines, to your duties, quick MARCH!" Oh, and the odd bit of 'encouragement' from the PTIs. Have to wait a bit longer for that now, but seriously, you should be able to motivate yourself to do this, because no-one else is going to do it for you.
