Bird I know I'm nowhere near week 5/6 mate as i passed out last friday with 880 troop where i got commando medal and determination award.
so about all this stuff about you hate people sayng things when they haven't even done it, I'm actually sowing royal marines commando on my jacket now.
if first u dont succeed brush yourself off and try again!!!!!

Congrats mick_1. Did you see 896 troop doing drill on the parade ground? When we were being inspected we saw loads of passouts in their best blues walking up and down with their family and friends, it then dawned on me im light years away. One lad saluted us, cheeky f@#k :D Although I guess he earnt his right to be cheeky :)

lol i'm off too 40 after my 3 weeks in AFCO and 2 weeks easter leave, what a life 8). cheers lads for all the replys and help you gave me this site really helped. Whats the bunker how do i pay the fiver?

Mick, how did you get to work at your AFCO for 3 weeks? I'm interested in doing it if/when I pass training. Do they ask you, or do you just get told you're doing it?

In about week 24 you go in to sort out passports etc and they ask who wants the chance to work at AFCO when you pass out you fill out a form and then get told in king squad who's got AFCO before going to a unit.
