Be honest with them, no B/S, if they detect a hint of it your done for.
Loads of people get to OASC, its then only the lucky few that are offered IOT places.....something in the region of 2! lol
If they knock you back take on board all the feedback and use it, then try again. Best person to speak to is Big Cheese, has been there, done that, got the t-shirt etc.
Best of luck!

most people don't go through airfield visits so don't worry about it. Remeber to play up any sports you have done from about 12 onwards and other activites. Saying 'Sorry sir all I do is work and study' won't really cut it. I recived a score of 3/6 on activties when I was working a job full time, was at uni, volunteering and exercising 3 times a week.

yeah sounds good! Good luck with everything anyway, Im sure you will be fine! Remember not to be too nervous!Chris19 wrote:Thanks mate, well i've done pentathlete, triathlete, abseiling, running, weight lifting, aikdo, judo and ju-jutsu, so I should be ok for that section right? hmm i'm quite nervous about it though!
Well i've done my interview, it was not what I expected at all. I spent so many weeks going over current affairs, details of weopens, and I needed to talk about none of it. All I had to do was talk about my background, exams, interests, what I feel about leading people into a battle, drug related questions etc. I was nervous for absolutely nothing, it was really comfortable.
However he did tell me off the record that he does not think i'll be succesful yet, due to my A-level grades not being the best they could be, with defence cuts and all. But! he said he believes i've got what's needed to be an officer, and if i get a few years gunner experience behind me, theres no reason why I can't become one, so im quite happy, guess i'll apply to be a gunner

Well I was very ill during my time at college, and I nearly failed totally, It was too hard for me to catch up and I only just managed to get grade 'E' in both my subjects. Therefore im not really suprised that i'd need experience to overcome those grades. If I do get to OASC I will pursue it and put everything into it, he said he was just giving advice if i did not get that far, the final decision will be known in about a week or so, just got to wait and see I guess!
