MOD's Senior Civil Servant refused calls from the MP's to resign. Sit Kevin Tebbit admitted that it had to write of 8 Chinook Helicopters worth 259 million pounds as they can't fly if there is a cloud in the sky. He was also taken to task over the new Apache Helicopters sitting on the ground as they can't train the pilots. The MP's said " That whole affair was a fiasco caused by downright, and absolute incompetence". Sir Kevin replied that no one had ever predicted that the Chinooks might have been needed for a war in Iraq. It was pointed out to him that the British Forces where expected to operate any where in the world. sir Kevin then said "There is nothing I can do to put it right in the near future"
Now personally I think that twat should be fired let alone asked to resign

If the helicopters can't fly without a cloud in the sky, then they definitely can't fly in UK!!

On June 14th 1919 a pair of yankees crossed the Atlantic. They were using string and needles for a compass, (
) Whatever.
85 years on and our intrepid lads can't fliegle near clouds in their twin rotor beasts.
You should talk to somebody who gives a f**k.

I think you will find that the two that crossed the Atlantic in 1919 was Allcock & Brown. There is even a statue to them at Heathrow.
