I am not sure which one to join, PARAS or MARINES ???

Please tell me why I should chosse to join the paras, I want to fight and get my hands as dirty as possible mind you, and also because ranks upgrade like crazy in combat.

I think you are a nobber. Its not for us to tell you what to do, and if you cant decide on a regiment, f*cking well go and find some information on it and make up your mind. I am starting to get seriously p*ssed off with people like you who come onto here and know the square route of f*ck all about the army yet you only seem to be interested in Para reg or marines. That shows your ignorance i am afraid, and to be honest, i dont like your attitude. For all we know, you could turn round to us and say you want to join the SAS next.

Find some information on all regiments/corps in the army on the army/navy websites and cut the crap. You obviously watch too many war films "ranks upgrade like crazy in combat.

"The Sgt is DOWN !!! Im promoting you!!! "my name" ur now SGT!!!! " "

Dont post anything else until you have had a look around those websites i suggested, because i/ and other people, will start to get more and more annoyed.

Just a gentle warning from a 'para fan'

I can assure you young man that neither the Marines or the Para's will be begging you to join them, so make up YOUR mind and just do some thing
rather than whine on that you don't know what to do.

I am sorry for the people I affended, I was in a hurry when I typed this and just wanted to get to the point with-out much ado. It seems that was a bad idea as I have not gotten any positive fed-back as of yet...
All I wanted was some extra information based on experience from both sides. No I wont base my decision on anyone but myself but info helps...

I seem to remember a few other members of this forum who were just as ill-informed as this chap. Isn't that right 'James: Future Para, or is it Marine, or para, or officer or soldier'!?

Yumix - James was right in that you need to find out information regarding the units you are interested in. Use this website, get books out, speak to people who might know a thing or two. It shouldn't take you long to figure out which one you think will best suit you. And when you do - go in with the right attitude and work hard.

you should do what Gore said & join the most elite fighting force known to man....the Sally Army. Have you seen those rather fetching uniforms? You'll be trained in how to deploy & have operational a Mk2 Soup I'M A SCAMMER SPAMMER!!! in under 2 minutes. How to strip, clean & reassemble a trumpet in pitch dark in under 3mins & there's even the possibilty to get an SQ onto support instruments platoon, using the heavy kit such as Mk.5 Tuba. The possibilites are limitless.
