Naval training before it went all 'pink and fluffy'?

Im just intrested to know what phase 1 naval training was like before the days of PC and health and safety?

Well i joined September 87 & to be honest Raleigh was a Blast not very hard on fitness but you were beasted for the slightest things.
Then i think the year after they used to give you Gucci Hi Tech Trainers to do all your running in ours were boots.
There was none of nice talking by your PO it was F@cki?g do it NOW

Heh. I dont think my PO is very PC in that respect. "What the f@#k do you mean you've forgotten your f@#k ID card?" you look like a bag of shit f@#k".
