hi i am hoping to join the corp after i finish colege in june/july.i feel as though i am cardio vasuclary fit enough and determined enuf to pass my prmc,but i have a lil doubt with my strength,i no its getin realy close now but can anyone give me any advice on how to get my upper body strenght into shape rapidly??thanky alot,bob

Read around this forum a bit, loads of posts on this. Basically a lot of press-ups, sit-ups and pull-ups plus some other bodyweight exercises and gym work. Don't neglect your CV just because it's your strong point either.

I became obcessed with pressups at one point(always ended up doing them on a night out, christ knows why).

http://www.netfit.co.uk has 2 pressups routines and some top advice for general fitness.

I found using a bag of potatoes in a normal school type bag brilliant for pressups thou. Be sure to secure the bad properly and pad it so the potatoes dont 'run' in the bag or fall out onto the living room floor :oops:

EDIT: By partials he may mean go half way up and hold it for a couple of second then fully straightening your arms and returning the the ground. He may also mean after becoming tired with full body press ups(legs extended) dropping to your knees and pushing out a few more.
