What trades do the Army urgently require?

My mate wants to join up as soon as possible and he was wondering what trades they urgently need therefore he'd be fast-tracked through the application process. I've told him to get his behind down to the AFCO but to be fair to him he does work 8-5 everyday and part time most weekends, but I just thought I'd ask just in case anyone knew, plus I'm being nosey

The Army is short of just about everything!

Tell him to ask , I assume he's got access to a phone - it's usually the best way. Anyone in an ACFO will know up to date info and are encouraged to fill understaffed areas.

Ask and they will tell you.

I wouldn't have thought there'd be much fast tracking going on. The process takes however long it takes.

Kwew, there's always been a shortage of short arm inspectors in the armourers department. (Good trade training) NVQ etc

Go to http://www.armygrants.co.uk I believe there is a list there of what is desperately needed, they're also offering golden hellos of up to £8000 for some trades.

what are these golden hellos??
is it a sort of "exra" pay for qualified people who want to join??
i'm a qualified electrician,do i qualify for a golden hello??
can't find enough info on that link...
but i've already applied to join anyway...
so i guess i can forget it...??
