I believe I read the surprise somewhere else on the forum after the 3 miler you have to dy pyramid press ups 10,9,8,7 etc. so would probbaly be a good idea to practice these after a run!

They just like to keep you on your toes. It was quite funny, (in hindsight) when you get down to the last few and the Corporal says - that man over there just let his knees touch the floor, and then starts counting all over again. It was quite amazing actually - I managed more pressups during that session than I did on Gym Test 1. I can't think why - I suppose it just highlights what you can do when you put your mind to it.

I started laughing when we were on the bottom field, we had to crawl on our belly's towards the pti, and when we reached him we had to hold the press up position while the stragglers caught up. They were a good 30 metres away and before long my arms started to shake and my knees touched the floor, all hell broke lose and one of the corporals (the south african ) said he'd kick my arse if i didn't get my knees of the floor and i found this hilarious and started to giggle, which made him more angry and the beasting continued.......

I Know its not supposed to be funny but i laugh at things like that. I found that, that crawling exercisse was the worst thing ever, especially because it was raining and we could barely move as it was so slippery.

SLWILSON, don't you think you are being a bit harsh.

andy_s - better to laugh than cry hey. We had the South African corporal on my PRMC as well. What a laugh...

Have you ever tried crawling through thick mud on your stomache. i could of used my initative and got up and ran, but thats not the point of the exercise. Of course we were moving and putting every little effort in that we had but we couldnt. Do preach on something you probably havent even done. Once you have then you can start acting the tough man.

SIWILSON

Have you done a PMRC?

If yes, how did you get around the problem that Rambo described?
If no, shut your mouth and have a go at somebody when you are their equal, not their inferior.

You probably were not allowed to get up anyways. Why else would everybody by mooching about in the mud! If they didnt have to then they would be saving their energy.
