NO.

Let me explain, One thing you will hear if you are lucky enough to get in is "attention to detail". Most of the post's tend to concentrate on being fit enough or having the right Gucci kit. That is not what being a serviceman is about that's just part of it. Attention to detail is more important because it should apply to everything you do, from packing a bergan to keeping your kit clean. To post a question on the forum hoping somebody will give you an answer learned through experience, but not even to bother reading your own post to check the spelling is a lack of attention to detail.
A second even bigger sin is to try and bluff your way out saying it was "speed typing".

It's not too much to ask just to check it, occasional spelling mistakes don't matter but lazy typing and abbreviations ('u') make it seem like a child is typing.

Read this.

I'm trying to do you all a favour, If you want to be taken seriously then start by putting your post's in english. I do not claim to be the world's greatest in english, but I find it hard to work up the enthusiasm to try and help somebody out when its obvious they can't be bothered helping themselves.

This is a subject dear to the heart of the older members of the forums. We are the geriatrics who are keen to advise and help the younger members who anticipate joining the services. Every day I read rubbish typed by somebody who has just returned home from his educational establishment. (Notice I wrote HIS, the girls are generally better).
We advocate attention to detail, because that is what keeps you alive and an asset to your unit. If people cannot understand your written or verbal utterances they will consider you a waste of time and ignore you.
Sticky Blue and I have been working a routine recently whereby we remove illiterate posts, on the basis that we cannot read them, so nobody else will be able to understand or respond to them.
Cries of anguish and suggestions that this is "Just a Forum" fall on deaf ears. Buck up lads, it's your future. Take time to read the link provided by Dave.Mil; every word should make texters cringe. :o

PS I found two errors when I did my usual trick of reading this prior to posting, it took 30 seconds and saved me from your mickey taking. If I can be bothered to do it, then so should you.
You should talk to somebody who gives a f**k.

Well we could get really into it and say that you should not use a capital letter after a (,) which is what you have done Dave. so lets just drop this whole thing about spelling. Also (english) should be English. but enough now

Bloody hell, if you want to get really into it Davey, you should have used a capital 'S' after your full stop. :D

Moving on, good luck with your training.

Davey, on your profile I think there's a G missing from Engerlund. Also a ' from boxing.
You're either bloody ugly or should change your profile photo to something resembling a human.
