that was weird - i've replied to this post already, but it diodn't upload properly. anyway.

good points, however i'd rather have my tax increases going on something that would make a lot of difference to a few people rather than a bit of difference to a lot.

haven't been avoiding the place just been v.busy at work. currently in sunny peterborough :(

momentiarliy though about rejoining - then remembered that i'd have to give up all my worldly possessions to do it

well only a few weeks to go, then its time for my summer hols on dartmoor

I hear Peterborough is nice this time of year mate 8)

I saw a rejoiner recently - great to see a lesser spotted 3 badger amongst the young thrusters. Any more interest in (or from) the RMR (by sea, by land, by Sunday lunchtime) ?

This will go down like the proverbial zeppelin on here - I'm all for raising taxes but I'd rather see it go on health and education if things need to be prioritised.

Looking forward to the Dartmoor trip - my training lasted about ten days but I've been out once or twice more recently. Most of it's downhill anyway isn't it :o

yes peterboroughs a real treat...not.

I haven't followed up RMR as knowing my luck i'd get the call, and end up in the ar*e end of nowhere again - back on the money i left to get away from - plus the fact the RMR c/sgt i spoke to seriously p*ssed me off.

i don't care where my taxes go, nobody listens to me anyway - but i can see how most people get aggrivated by it. i put it down to the massive centralisation movement by successive governments - the local input is taken away and people lose the sense that they are part of the community anymore - hence voter apathy and social isolation.

my foots been hurting lately and i hit myself in the b*lls whilst asleep. Not that i'm getting my excuses ready you understand

GH, if the rate now is 15k, that makes it about an hourly rate of £1.71 whilst on active or excercise, sure makes you wonder doesn`t it?

hi bootneck,

yes it certainly makes you wonder - that 15k also included my para pay. i don't know what the answer is - truth be told forces pay is so far behind civvy street that no government can afford to make up the difference.

thing is i earn good money now - but i'm doing 20% of the job i used to - ok it has its moments but nothing like the importance of being in the Corps (and the rest of HM Forces) , I install computer systems for f*cks sake - how dangerous can it be!
