I don't have a clue about the bags but "shoggle" is an amazing word. Where'd you get that from?
Try getting a bag with a pocket in the bit that touches your back so you can fill it with padding if need be. Also, put something flat and hard between you and whatever is in the bag. Keeps it flat and helps the padding. I put a hard-back book in mine (one about snipers by Mark Spicer, hehehe).
just some advice, you don't have to follow it.

Running With a Backpack
I've only run with weight a couple of times before I was told it's a bad idea, but I found that my motorcycle rucksack was pretty secure. It's only a small (school-bag sized) jobby from Dainese, but it's got shaped padding to fit shoulders and lower back and wide shoulder straps; waist belt is a bit puny, but did the job, doesn't move around. Pricey though.

Ive done a fair bit of running with a backpack, was great for developing leg strength and short term endurance. Started with only about 3-5 lbs and slowly increased using weight discs in a small running backpack. Progressed to using a proper trekking backpack with waist and chest straps and found it very comfortable with lots of room, very useful when running to gym for a workout.
Like anything you just have to be sensible, dont do too much too soon or you'll screw up some part of your body. In reality its not necessary for the PRMC and not that necessary for POC, but if you want to give it a go and are sensible about it and are aware of the injury risks go for it.

I used to run/jog/warble with a backpack (100 litre PLCE thing with the straps done up as far as I could yank them), and quite reliably after a couple of weeks I ended up with a stress fracture, though running on pavement in boots would have exasperated that. Needless to say I leave it well alone these days
.
Fluffy bunnies - Grrrrr!
Sprout you tit, why you wanted to run with a bergen on I don't know, especially as you look quite a skinny example (judging by your pic on your website!
).
I am not training for PRMC, I'm further down the line than that, I would do weighted runs with my webbing on but where I live there isn't anywhere to go without a few muppets chasing "the army".
I think I'll go back to TISO's or Millets or Blacks or something and just get one of those rucksacks while they're in the sale, might not be exactly what I'm looking for but it will do.

My began(s) fell out of the army stores when we were visited by friends
Sadly it is a camoflagued bergab so i look a tit when running in the woods, its not perfect mind as the back support must be designed for some 5ft4 midget. I have a purple civvy backpack but the shoulder supports just suck ass aswell
WIlson said something about a weighted vest. You wear it under you t-shirt and it can go up to 60kg,im sure he said it was comfortable(ish).

If you want to add some weight whilst running, have a look at the Reebok Iron man vests! Ive got one and its about 40lbs in weight but you can add to it to make it heavier. Fits like a stab vest so its quite comfy when running. They do cost a few quid though...
Most specialist running shops will stock them.

If you really must do weighted runs before training and even before PRMC, which is a really BAD idea, injury prone and uneccessary training procedure before you join up is to just get yourself some PLCE webbing second hand, learn how to secure it all, so it doesn't look like a pile of crap while you're running, then load it with a really light weight and start from there really slowly. This is how you'll do it in training.
In regards to running in bergans, there's no requirements made that you have to do run with a full bergen, webbing, weapon in training. But if you're a shortass like me and you're at the back of the yomp (and your troop is big) you will most likely have to run for extended periods with it. I definitely would not do it for training purposes though, you'll injure yourself before you're even in training, which is stupid! IMHO.
