Not that I don't suspect that the photo posted by RB above is one of the same SH, but he does appear to have a growth above his right eyebrow where other pics do not show this pre March 2003. Perhaps HM QE2 loaned him this one?

At the moment this is how I am feeling about Saddam's capture....
Sisyphus,
I agree with you, I hope the Iraqi people can get back to some sort of normality in their lives and rebuild their country.
P.S
America, you still have alot work to do, where is OBL ?
Sorting out the Palestinian/Israeli conflict too.

Just found this from Reuters, surely we have the right one with DNA tests an'all?
Have They Got The Right Saddam?
15/12/2003
With the arrest of the former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein will the end to the 'doubles' theory finally be in sight.
Much has been made of the use of 'lookalikes' over the past twelve months with one German television network saying it had made a scientific study of 450 photographs of Saddam Hussein, and concluded there were at least three doubles posing as the Iraqi president.
The ZDF public television network, working with a German coroner, said it took the photographs and film clips of Saddam which it had in its archives and used facial recognition technology to determine that men said to be him were lookalikes.
"In the film sequences since 1998 only the doubles appear," said Dieter Buhmann, a Homburg coroner. "He himself has not been seen again."
ZDF said at the time "a scientific investigation proved that the 65-year-old ruler allows at least three doubles to replace him at official appearances."
ZDF said it was difficult to tell which were the doubles and which was the real Saddam Hussein.
"They have apparently undergone surgery to appear to look like the statesman," ZDF said. "The doubles have mastered Saddam's gestures and perfectly mimic Saddam, with only tiny details separating them from the real Saddam Hussein."
ZDF also quoted a physician, Muslim Al-Asadi, whom it said has been studying lookalikes for years.
"Between Saddam Hussein and another person who appeared in Iraqi television I was able to detect five different facial differences between the original and the double presented by Iraqi television," he was quoted telling ZDF.
So I guess the question on everyone's mind now - have they caught the right Saddam?

at the end of the day, if it is him, all he had to do, was let the WMD inspection teams into Iraq, and give them all the assistance they wanted, and he would still be in power today, but his stance against the west, and his belief that he was the saviour of the arab world, eventually led to his downfall. He has only himself to blame!

DNA has confirmed it's him.
Only US forces were involved in his capture.
The grim question in my mind is what happens now?
Should have topped him on the spot imo.
He will probably die of natural causes in a maximum security palace in
the south of France, while the international trial lawyer's argue
about his fate at $1000.00 a minute.

Splendid news, hopefully things should start turning around now, though to be honest I'm rather worried that if the majority of attacks really are from foreigners and Islamic militants, then the rate and style of attacks could remain. If that happens the coalition position could be seriously weakened going by how much weight has been put behind Sadam being a key factor in the resistence. However, I really ought to end this post with a smily
.

Yep send 'em back the threat is now finished, I'm sure they could help the Iraqi economy more than ours.
Wonder where Saddam is going to be held until the trial? I wouldn't mind betting that he is already winging his way to the USAF base at Diego Garcia, a British owned protectorate miles from anywhere in the Indian Ocean, hey but sssshhhh! I haven't told you that.
