Has Dan passed yet?

Does anyone no what happened to Dan he went into basic a couple of months ago and havn't heard from him since. anyone got any info on him??

Well dan and LMDAVIES went in around july so i expect them to be 'out' by march-arpril time(because of leave etc)

Mr Dan ees not go to CTC, eet is a cunning plan because he is jion the Corwalls Revolting Army (sponsored by Gingsters and the Edam Project, eet is like the Eden project but cheesier!)
Eef I am see him I will say to heem "Go to the forums and speak wisdom" I tell him not to let on that he is fight for El Prez and the pointy heads.

Hello lads. I had a message from him a few weeks ago at the halfway point. By now he should be in field firing territory (about week 22). It all seems to be going well and I get the impression he was due for some section commander tapes. Touch wood endex should be in early February

I knew he'd do well, he always had the right attitude (a mixture of enthusiasm, respect and fear) and he was independent of mind which, whilst not good for a nod, will make him a top notch bootneck. Go to CTC with the right attitude and the rest will take care of itself

Hi, its LMDAVIES here. I was stuck in the same room as Dan all throughout training. Dan is doing extremely well and is currently in week 24 of training and a few ago days he was awarded his cap comforter.

I had to opt out of recruit training at the very last moment due to a welfare issue.

However as I loved training and the core so much, and completed 20 weeks of recruit training, I start phase 1B (tactics and Commando course) of RMR training at the beginning of January. Atleast I will not have to learn how to wash in the field and how to put up a bivvie all again. I want that Commando flash so bad!

The Company Commander offered me to return within 6 months. I wasn't sure if he meant that if I returned within 6 months then I could pick up my training where I left off or I would have to start back at week 1 of training. He stated that I had just 10 years left in me to be a soldier then I would have to start to consider other jobs.

I am really gutted that I had to opt out but my son is the most important thing to me. RMR is the best solution for me (and my son).

That`s a really tough decision to make Lee, I don`t envy you. Just don`t be in too much of a hurry to make it.

Alright Lads and ladies, i spoke to Dan on Sunday night, he's passed the endurance course and 9mile speed march, Monday morning he had the Tarzan -assault course and yesterday he had his 30-miler, i'll probably speak to him soon as he's back tomorrow and i'll tell him to get his arse on here....................well done Dan................. :drinking:

Er...hi! My ears are burning...

Passed the 30 miler on Tuesday and spent the last few days strutting (when I say strut, I mean hobble) about with my green flash and inspiring gasps of awe (when I say awe, I mean indigestion) from the nods on camp. The last few weeks were very testing (when I say testing...ah, forget it) but it is so good to be home on leave! Only f/x and final ex to go now. I'll be back on to update 'n all soon, but for now i'm catching up with family and friends. Thanks for keeping me in mind guys, nice to know i'm not forgotten!

Lee- speak very soon. Everyone passed the commando tests (!). Wools did his 30 miler twice due to injury on the first, Loader passed Endurance on 2nd go with 5 secs to spare (plonker). Bateman's gone with injury.
Sully- sorry for the radio silence, i've given up with the CTC computers. PM winging it's way to you soon.

Hey ho. A quick thought...

Is Dartmoor in January, quite possibly the bleakest, darkest, most unforgiveable, God-forsaken hell hole ever seen by the eyes of man? Why yes.

I've spent the week soaked to the bone (either honking storms or, ugh, sitting in rivers) while winds rip across Dartmoor and threaten to remove extremities, wading through swampy valleys with feet that feel like frozen lamb (and have only just defrosted), all the while dodging live rounds from my oppos during section attacks. The Old and Bold know exactly what I'm talking about. Nearly there. Two weeks and i'm shaping my own green lid in my grot, convinced that i'm the hardest bast*rd ever to tread Devon. Well that's how it feels! Aren't bootnecks arrogant?
