C/Sgt John Cecil

Post by Sully »

John Cess was a 'top bloke' as I've heard from so many since Friday. A real gentleman, if the world was full of John Cess's there wouldn't be any wars - just an occaisional disagreement about which exotic shirt to wear. I never saw him lose his rag and as my det i/c for a while he certainly had cause to. Memories of Cess flooded back, especially the Swan Run '93 - priceless (mind you I don't think I'll ever be able to listen to "The Green Green Grass of Home" again without removing a speck of dust from my eye). I'm honoured and glad to have known him and I'm a better person for having done so.

I'm sure I speak for all in saying that our hearts go out to the family at their tragic loss and that we'll all miss him.

'bye mate

So sorry to hear about Cess. My condolences, and I know I can send Hoppys condolences, to John's family.
Off to plant my tree now....for Cess and the rest of the lads.
