I fully intend to give it a crack and will put my result up for all to ridicule, but at the mo have more pressing matters of uni exams.
Fully agree with what you're saying tho prez, all too easy to say yeah ill give that a crack and then realising you're nowhere near that level of fitness. Probably one thing that isn't emphasised enough on this website in terms of training is gradual, progressive training. For what its worth I personally use an informal type of goal setting, focusing on the regular short term goals with the end result being achievement of the long term goal. Thats probably my best bit of advice with regard to reaching the upper echelons of fitness that the SF enjoy...ill let you know if it works for sure when i get there!!!

Yeah, I also agree with progressive training, I dont see how people say they can get fit in a couple of months when before they have done sod all training, ok you may have improved on your fitness (good effort), but prez is right in a way(I also was in a crapy mood when i applied to your rash comment too), dont temp things you cant finish and dont say things that you are no where near achieving, be realistic.
The test looks solid, and if i have had not got intrested in training for over the last year I would have not dare tempt it. In fact I know i wont get 625 pass mark the first time or after that, untill ..... who knows......?, never tried anything like it (mixture of running, circuits, and light weights all in 1 go!). Those jumps look like a killer on the legs, specaily after the 3 mile run.
Who ever does it first can produce the table. Be true do your score, even if your score is under 200(which i doubt very much that any1 serious about trying it will get), well at least you done it and completed it, even if you got a low score its all training in your effort to improve your fitness.
I'am goin to try it sometime near I hope( when i feel up to it), cant find a human counter!
Prez, looks like your dog could use a little extra fibre in his/her diet, ever tried feeding it Allbran?

I am a a SNCO in the Royal Marines SBS. OLD SCHOOL. active at the mo and your comments above give the impresion that you know what you are talking about.. YOU DO NOT!!!! You will never make it in to the Marines let alone any special forces unit. You are not in full time employment? you use family problems to justify you staying at home and doing TRAINING BullShit! What do you think we do when we have family prob's saty at home untill things sort them selves out. no we get on with it.. look at your profile name then select you past posted msg and tell me after you have had a look at them are you telling people that you are a marine ( WALTER MITTY ) springs to mind..
Stop gobbing off explain to people that you are not in any military org. and ask for help the only people you are telling what to do are kids in the army cadet corps and they are making an effort you are not even in full time employment.. Get off your arse and do something positive and stop useing this chat room to full fill your dreams.. Their was a chap like you some years ago he was obsessed with joining the Military he could not get in . so he started to collect uniforms MOD equipment and then moved on to guns. He was shot dead by an ex Royal Marine in the police's Rapid responce unit. LOOK UP the HUNGERFORD SHOOTINGS..
I see a lot of you IN the above PROFILE and I think I am right!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the moon is always followed by the riseing sun if it does not ! What will you put on my Head Stone

what is the best score?
gday fellas,
I have just done the break down of potential scores for myself if I did the test. Obviously I have experience in this type of thing otherwise I wouldnt be able to do this.
I would appreciate if some one could share some light on what they know of being the highest score achieved for this fitness assessment.
incline sits? please expain too. I will attempt the real thing in a couple of weeks. My goal is to break into the 800's. Sure I might be getting a little ahead of myself. but one only knows if one has a go. Till next time

is military pressups where you do a pressup and raise one leg towards your side and then you alternate legs with each press up?
