I've just found some pictures of the new USAF camo (for all environments I believe). And I think an appropriate word to sum it up is BWAAAAHAHAHAHA! Or thereabouts :). And the hat? Oh dear, what on Earth happened there . I suppose it might have some camouflage value in a heavily built up area, but it still seems more than a little bit silly to me.

Yeah that blue tiger stripe stuff is just lame. I can't believe my tax dollars are paying for that stuff. But the hat, that's the Navy/Marine Corps cover. The Air Force uniforms are being made by the same company that made the new Marine MARPAT stuff, so I'm assuming they just used that hat since it was already on hand. That's just a prototype from what I understand.
And by the way, if you ever meet a US Marine in person I wouldn't make any negative comments about his cover. Besides, look at those ridiculous things your police wear  :D

Good point TK4, that is a Marine lid. Jar heads love that cover, and so do I. After you wear it awhile you think beret's and regular hats are silly. The USAF uniform does look gay, but what do you expect? They have a very small ground combat force. The idea of camo is to break the outline, no uniform except a Guillie Suit can really do that. It's just a fashion statement. I bet the Army will choose whatever is hip in the Ghetto for their new look. I hated the new physical training uniform, it looked so wanna be pro-basket ball player warm up suit, and the baggy fit created drag, making run times slower. But hey it's an Army of One.
Let them call me a rebel and I welcome it, I feel no concern from it; but I should suffer the misery of demons were I to make a whore of my soul. (Thomas Paine)

Cam to far:

Mk2 daughter has an evening dress in DPM pattern. (cost. £60, could have used me denim smock as a dress and saved dosh) Thinks........It would confuse the enemy if nought else! It confused me when she came down in the bloody thing!

She looked "different" I suggested she use my old Ski march boots to complete the ensemble. (I use them in the garden) Was told to "go away in short, sharp, jerky erotic movements. Goodness knows where she picks it up from!

So I didnt ask if she would like to use me Norge backpack as a handbag.
