Weight in the corps

Post by ash2003 »

Alright,

Just wondering if anyone knows the weight to height categories for the RM. Im 5'10" and 72kg. However much I have tried to put weight on I've stayed at the same weight. I believe that your body adapts to the correct weight depending on the kind of physical activity you do. If thats correct I can't be too light can I? I might put a bit of weight on when I introduce weights into my program next week.

To fail on the height limit you have to be a midget. As for the weight limit, yeah its 60Kg, I was weighed at 61Kg and was told that I just made it! :D :D
There are 3 kinds of people: those who can count & those who can't.

My son is 5' 11" and 70kg and built like a brick sh1t house. I can't see why you would worry.

Is there actually an upper limit at which point they deem you to be too heavy in relation to your height. I, like you Wilson, am also 82Kg but am only 5'6''.

x 2.2 and divide by 14.

By the way you guys, are you all confused?? I am :-?

e.g. 5' 11" and 65kg

Are you metric or imperial these days?

Bit like the building suppliers where you buy 2.5m of 4" x 2"

Is the weight with or without eight pints of beer before or after you go for a piss?
Don't worry, if your slightly over weight and fit, you'll soon lose it and if over, you'll soon put it on.
It' more important to get your brain in order.
Good luck. :laola:

I was watching a programme about the royal marines who had specialised as mountain leaders and during the course some of them lost about a stone.
stuck in a rut, unsure about the future, unsure about the military lifestyle, for a while anyway

Ash, the best way to find your height weight ratio and wether you comply with army standards is through your BMI (body mass indicator).
