Ahoy there!

The Capture of Gibraltar - 24 July 1704

The famous attack upon Gibraltar, which led to its surrender to the British, on 24 July 1704 was carried out by a brigade of British and Dutch Marines, 1,800 strong, under the command of Prince George of Hesse-Darmstadt. In the following October, Gibraltar was besieged by the French and Spanish. The Marine brigade, which had been reinforced shortly before by a further 400 Marines from the British Fleet, held the fortress against repeated attacks until the siege was raised on 9 March 1705. In one incident in this fighting, Captain Fisher of the Marines with 17 of his men, successfully defended the Round Tower against the continued assaults of 500 French Grenadiers. A contemporary report of this noted defence says,
"Encouraged by the Prince of Hesse, the garrison did more than could humanly be expected, and the English Marines gained an immortal glory."
Just thought I'd mention it.

Ifen B'liar gets anymore "important" he'll be handing over the Channel Isles to the French just to show europe what a really really "nice" person he is.

May Gibralter stay British for another 300 odd years. (just wish they could lower the rock, used to detest them thar races to the top. Jack would do it ifen he asked his boss while Royal did it because he was ordered to. Even if he had a hangover to die for! (CSB is nice but God you suffer if you imbibe a ruck)

A snifter, wet or sippers would suffice to commemorate the great occasion.
If you wish to indulge in gulpers or beyond, that is a matter for you and your conscience.

Loz

Just offer him money. (nough said)

Maybe Nursey has hidden the keyboard in a vain attempt to bring him to heel.

I reckon myself that he's having new bits-n-bobs attached so he will never leave the forum. (Prez calling Ork etc, etc,) He's a spy from the planet Kling-on, so I've heard.................... 0X 0X 0X 0X 0X 0X 0X 0X

He's out! Out there somewhere, prowling, lurking, getting ever closer! :o

Be afraid, be very afraid! Double lock your doors and sleep lightly for he is hungry! :o

Nursey can no longer control this pityful creature, more beast now than man, ( thats if the trotter transplant has taken).

He prowls Bodmin moor, appearing out of the mist, like a ghost. Willy hanging out of his nylon jim jams, frightening sheep and holiday makers alike. Static sparking in the darkness, gently moaning " We've got a burn sqwaarrrkkkkk!".

Where is the great one, far to quiet, I'm getting worried so will check under the bed tonite! :o

Come on guys and gals, He's an ex chopper pilot, so he left early for Anglesey, knowing he was bound to get lost. They always navigated by road signs anyway and he can only read them looking downwards so has to stop and climb a neraby tree to see if he is on the right road. It all takes time when you are his age and have a bad back.

So where the 'kin hell is he? But he will be so chuffed to be missed

3)Suck coffee through wafer
4) Eat dripping wafer 8)
I remember when they were Gray Dunne Caramel wafers

After the failed attempt to get Buckley to bite ref the Corps Birthday, guess what todays anniversary is 8)
Today in 1797, Nelson attacked Santa Cruz in Tenerife. During the battle, he was hit in the right elbow by grapeshot or ball. He lost the arm.
