Post by Ogre »

Try 24 hour disposable lenses.
You should talk to somebody who gives a f**k.

I`ve tried wearing the 30 day lenses but they`re not quite my perscription yet but that was a while ago I might check again to see if they`re closer yet. As for the glasses I do a physical mucky job at the moment and can`t stand wearing them as they fall off or get dirty and you can`t see anything but thanks for replying guys :D and I`m still open for any other suggestions

them 30 day ones are meant to be quite good i know people who wore them in iraq and coped even with that sand flying everywhere.its not uncommon for people to wear glasses in the marines now.before you would be restricted to remf jobs. but nowadays you can wear lenses without people knowing

Is it true that you can wear lenses as long as they are correctable to the medical guide lines. I've read else where on this forum about people wearing contacts to pass the medical but surely if they accept lenses then why hide the fact you wear them? :-? I'm looking to join the RM as an officer. Does anyone know if the medical for POC and PRMC as different? My eyesight is borderline on the standard. I might get in without lenses, or I might not. But if lenses are ok then why risk hiding the fact. Help on this would be fantastic. :D

i wore lenses during my brief period of training. u are allowed to wear them but you cant for the nbc warefare training. you will be sent to the for an eye test where evetually your gas mask will have corrective lenses fitted in them. when swimming you are allowed to wear swimming goggles to. i found this out after i swam with my lenses in , opened my eyes under water then got out to a very blury scene!! so yeh get some goggles because theres plenty of swimming
