JSF Program

Post by rabby »

Anybody see the program about the development of the JSF on channle 4 on Monday? Quite an insight into how they are designed and put together. Next Monday they go flying!

Very intersting indeed, it showed quite a lto of the engineering and design aspect which is often neglected elsewhere. And was I paying attention to the Lockheed one correctly, as it sounded like it took six months of nigh on continuous drilling to shape a single bulkhead - OUCH! :o

As for next week, I suppose it's just a shame we (well, the forum anorak brigade that is) already know who won :).
Fluffy bunnies - Grrrrr!

Agreed, If there is to be a total of 3000+ units to be built, they better get some better equipment, or we'll be waiting a long time...
And by Christ the Boeing effort was ugly!
It also showed quite how much the Americans have totally wasted on the F22 effort, granted it is a good plane, but the amount of money spent on it no where near comes close to justifying its limited statistics. Makes me larf.

p.s. I don't know what this is doing in the Navy forum. :-? (obviously wasn't quite with it when I posted  ) So any moderators out there feel free to move it to RAF bit.
