Is it worth it???

Post by Everest »

Hi my name is owen iam a 17 year old currently living in Australia and because my father is English i have a British passport and citizenship :). Iam currnetly thinking about joining the Royal Marines next year and wasn't sure if its worth joining. The reasons for joining are that i think the RM can offer me more than the Australian DF but havent been able to hear any opions on the RM.

Please if anyone has any ideas about my choice of action please reply so that i can make a decision. i would really love to hear from any current surving or ex Royal Marines

thanks

Hi Owen, welcome to the site. Browse through the forum entitled 'Joining the Royal Marines' in the Royal Marines main section. Plenty of info about the Corp and joining.
You should talk to somebody who gives a f**k.

Try Your Nearest Consulate. There are always marines on secondment to ADF as well and they would be more than happy to give you some gen on the process.

On failing that try the RN website it will give contact addresses.
