Bloody furious Tigress!!!

Post by North Sea Tigress »

Well, should have known better than to get excited, shouldn't I? Turns out that NO Royal Marine Reserve personnel have to return to the UK before the rest of the unit, unless for compassionate reasons.
The answer to the cry of 'but they all have jobs to go back to' was apparently very snotty and along the lines of 'they signed a six month contract, they can just bloody well get on with it!' Charming, huh? So thank you to all the kind, publicly spirited employers for supporting the Reserve forces, but two up yours, cos we want to get a bit of PR out of this one. So all your employees are sitting on their Bergens, in Umm Qsarr, doing absolutely nothing, waiting for MoD to sort out a liner to return them to the UK. All I can say, is they will need all the PR they can get, as the majority of reserves will be handing their kit in on return to the UK. I for one, will not allow my husband to continue his service.
When will the narrow minded knobs, who are given the power to make desicions, get a life, wake up and smell the coffee? :fist:

According to TV rumour ( don't get your hopes up too much as it might be a load of S**t) 3 Cdo Brigade would be home in a month.

Did he volunteer or was it a case of " right, we've been asked to be prepared to assist the exercise in the gulf, its not a war at the moment, merely a build up of troops for exercise. I take everyone will volunteer, anyone who doesn't raise their hand now... right then, I'll get everyones name"

If he is at RMR Glasgow I already know the answer!

So who were the guys we saw returning on the TV yesterday? I thought they must be the RMR lads.

If ever a 'Blue on Blue' was justified, this has got to be it!

Send the Pongoloid's co-ordinates to the A10 guys, and tell them he's a Brit APC, problem solved!

Your anger is fully justified and understandable. I'm afraid it's the old case of 'it goes with the territory'. But pause for a moment. He WILL BE coming home. Yippeee :laola:

Patience, dear Heart, patience.

p.s. I'm so glad you're not the 'North Sea Upstart' - the U makes such a difference to the abbreviation!!

Easy, Tigress
I’ve heard some Reservists have not been getting paid, as their Units say their admin comes under the Regular Unit they are serving with. Needles to say, Reg Unit knows nowt about this "arrangement" and credit cards are being refused. Which must be very convenient with a full trolley in Tesco`s, I don`t think.
Aye,

Reservists are being paid, some have had to wait a little longer than others for their pay to start.

Any reservist that deployed went through the all new Reseve Force's Mobilisation Center at nottingham. They ensure all pay is sorted out before you deploy (as well as doing medicals, fitness checks, kit issue)

Cheerup Tigrees, i'm sure your man will be home as soon as his FTRS contract ends :D

I can understand your fustration 'NST', but ask your old man would he have wanted to have missed it.........I think not.

Sat around when he could be on his way home is a pisser, but that's why bergans are made to feel comfy for when they are being sat on.

People in power can't see what the troops on the ground need. I believe this to be one of those annoying officer things.

Think nice thoughts  he'll be all your's soon.

Ladies, you really do have my sympathies.

Where does the MoD get off with this sort of treatment?

Don't they realise that the families are the ultimate support systems for many service personnel?

Shame on the lot of them, sat back safe and cosy while our people risk everything,

If Parry ever dies and I become President of the world, they will be the first against the wall.

Not a chance white man. I am being cryogenically stored, probably at the Spar in St Agnes, then brought to life when Virgins return to Cornwall; it may be some wait.
So knee tremblers agin a wall is your bag? Surely Clementine must get a sore muzzle?

I did say if you ever died, not when.

Knee tremblers, that happens every time i go training out here. We live on the top of a hill so the last 2ks is up hill, and the knees get very trembly indeed.

Now that is an improvement, is it permanent or will he have to hand it in when he gets drafted?
