In a POC leaflet I have it actually states to do one run a week in boots but to aim for slightly longer times. I also had a meeting with a RM officer last friday and he also advised running in boots because the majority of what you do when you join is done it them

Boots, and the weather ...
I run around the country lanes in my area and its practically like running through a river when its been raining
I find it more enjoyable than running in fair weather at least it helps to cool you down

I know it sounds old fashioned, I'm 41 + VAT, and I acknowledge that this is a Bootneck site, but please lads, there are ladies present, and even in these 'enlightened' times f*****g, rather than the full spelling, has as much meaning, but less vitriol. Ta.

I know this is a bootneck site but your'e making this old jack feel more knackered, every time I check these pages all your talking about is press ups and running in mud and s**t
It takes me all my time to unstick my back from the bed of a morning
And as far as running the only part of me that runs is my bl***y nose
Mind at 76 (no Vat) I suppose I should be slowing down a little
As the man said that Bl***y stuff they put in our tea during the war is starting to work
Keep at it lads,The physio's keep telling me there's no gain without pain,
Outgoing and keep going...................
