I would like to add another email listing on the "Once A Marine Site" http://www.civvie-street.co.uk or http://www.once-a-marine.co.uk which will contain the email address for each branch of the RMA worldwide. all you need do is add your details here and I will extract the information and collate the list. One contact per branch preferably an official of that branch i.e. Secretary... the information (data) I would like is:

Your Position Your Email Your Branch
Secretary John@aol.com Barnsley

That should crack it – that way all bootnecks will have a secure contact for each branch. All that is needed now is for you all to push your branch to deliver the information.

We could go a step further and have a nominal but branches may not like that – any thoughts…

Also if you have a newsletter you want publishing on the site email it to me royal-marine@bigfoot.com in a word document and I will include it as with Exmouth and Exeter currently.
Yours Aye

Hi Tony
If it is allowed to run its course maybe it could be entered into the "RM Associations"section and listed in alphabetical order the same as your EMail directory, this could serve as two outlets One being the Secs con stay in touch the other is that subscribers will get to know where their nearest Branch is and who to contact,Thus boosdting the RMA membership.

Hello Tony,
I like the idea of e-mail address for those branches wishing to participate also the possibility of incorporating into the "Once a Marine...." web page RMA section. Unfortunately the Secretary on Tyneside is not on e-mail, but the Chairman and myself are. I have asked if he wishes to be the branch connect point if not I will be.
I will inform you shortly of the details.

Hi Tony /Brian
Glad to see headway is being made,In the past such a passage of secretaries contact addresses were deemed a "security rist?" to get around this maybe if secretaries "or branch reps"were to contact Tony By EMail he could keep this list in his own possesion using it if and when required, this way any future plans, ploys,or strategems can be kept off line, only comming on line for suggestions, propositions,or general information,This way not only are you keeping within the guidelines set down by the governing body, but it is also keeping your plans out of sight from "at this stage I will call spies"
Just another one to ponder over,
Aye John_D

I thought the idea was to make the RMA branches more accessable a name an email address and a branch location do not in my considered oppinion represent a security risk

Everybody, Great we are making tracks. As Brian has said all it needs is one person, it doesn't have to be the sec etc in the branch but "a.n.other" to keep contact with all of us.
In this way it brings the whole of the branch into contact with the internet, and the rest of the blokes in other branches.
As long as no real details are put on the as Bulldog said there is no real security breach.
If anyone is looking for anyone then go to 192.com or any other site that gives info.
