There is no RAF Cdo organisation although they can do the all arms course if the need rises ie forward air controllers who are attached to the brigade.

Do you know of any crabs who have actually passed the All Arms because I dont.Allso, 618 do O.K. without any help from the crabs, any BALOs reading this please put me right. Allso, they would probably spend their KUA on Brycreem and makeup, no offence.

I knew a few lads from the RAF Tactical Communications Wing who were trying for places on the AAC (I think one got a place and passed). They were techies who operated a 501 satellite det and helped us out during a few Norways (instead of the R Signals). They all did the arctic novices course. Good lads and much better than working with perce

We had an RAF SGT in 45 who was incharge of SF troop. I can't remember his name but he wasn't that bad a bloke. I think he went on the SAS course and failed at the end as he reminded you of Derdry Barlo on Corrie.

Hi,I had the misfortune to know 2 crab air blokes that had passed the ACC & were attached to Zulu Coy,45.One was a Sgt Howard who went to NI with the coy & was responsible for arranging the helo lifts..nice bloke. The other was a nightmare, his name was Chris Chandler. He was (so he told us)the self defence instructor for 22 SAS.His idea of fun was to put our troop on a 2 week bodyguard course, working with some paras & 22 lads...I've never been in so much pain.We got put on the course for doing a good job in Norway,I shudder to think what he'd of done to us if we'd messed up in Norway. For as hard man as he was,he failed his AWT course. So he ended up leaving the unit...phew.Oh how the memories flood back.Great site keep it up!

At my medical i was sta with an ex RAF lad. He claimed to have been dimissed for havin ga leh injury(what alot of crap, surely they would just rehabilitate him). He was joining up again and clamed to do 25 weeks training, including regular 40k yomps in full kit. Now full kit in the raf may just be a packed lunch but still his nose was growing by the minute. He also claimed ot be trained in the sa80,9mm browning,GPMG and rapier system aswell as an assortment of other foreign guns including the ak 47. He seemed to say something about a ' the regiment being fitter than the RAF' i know of only one 'regiment' and indeed it is fitter but a 'regiment' in the raf any ideas?

Confused the hell out of me.
