Comments on this plate carrier

Post by daveroyal »

Alright Lads,

Been looking for a plate carrier for a while. Warrior doesnt fit the soft inserts, most yank ones (e.g blackhawk and the likes) dont fit the plates!
Found this one and looks perfect, fits soft inserts, plates and as a little bonus has slots for the little ecba plates in the sides.

Comments on this would be great, especially anyone who has one/ seen one in action.

Cheers,

Dave.

Alright mate,

My patrol commander has got one of those. they are bulky and heavy depending on how much kit you want to cram onto it. i always feel sorry for him every time he goes to put it on!

Our lads have mostly cut the osprey down to the bare minimum of the green soft armour which we wear underneeth something like an Eagle plate carrier or blackhawk one. ive taken the side panels off my plate carrier so it does up with just the buckle clips and no velcro (more tactical aswell!) its much cooler without the side bits, and it means you dont have space to go MOLLE crazy with pouches, and therefore you are doing yourself a favour by carrying less. And the plates do fit...just. Our lads have got a variety of different plate carriers and all of them fit the plates.

Its up to you at the end of the day, but out of 50 or so blokes, only 1 has chosen this plate carrier.
