eh up everyone

I used to use this forum a long time ago pestering you lot and asking questions about the army.. but now im back

i stared basic training at the army foundation college harrogate on september the 19th last year, i done everything i needed to do to pass out, passed all the summative tests, battlecamp in barrybudden and tac ex's 1 2 and 3 in otterburn and stanta.

but now after all that i got medically discharged :( which broke my heart,
ive got a bad back and my physios said it would be immoral to send me to catterick to the CIC because it would just cause me more damage and if not i would probably get MD'd from there within the first week.

Anyway im rejoining in 12 months if i no longer have problems with my back and am joining this forum just to try not to completely put my civvi head back on and anyone going to afc harrogate im more than happy to answer their questions,

Yeah, I am hoping to go at some point.
- What kind of extra stuff did you learn there, I have heard there is more to it then the standard Phase 1 stuff?

- Did the Staff treat you like children or just Recruits?

That's it, I'm sure I'll think of more though! What Reg were you training for?
Oh and well done for completeing it in the first place!

I was joining 3 mercian (staffords)

You do everything a normal recruit would do any other atr but everyone else learns everything prettymuch once (well at least thats what ive been told) but at harrogate you learn it again and again and again untill uve got it bang on

plus you do alot of education which can be mind numbing at times but trust me get your head down in it, i completed all mine which has helped me get a job out here just untill i go back. Plus if you do mess about in education your sure to get a good beasting of your permanent staff.

The place produces very high standards which will put you in good stead for phase 2 no matter what your joining, if you joining a technical corps then it puts you at a good advantage because your infantry skills will be to a good standard when you go to your unit.

its good you will enjoy it and make some wicked mates.
i swear to drunk im not god
