Just a bit more from the RAF point of view.

My dad's fiance recently joined the RAF (bit older than you) in the intelligence area. They are now living near London and she is loving it. I was actually up there visiting this past weekend and it seems like she is comfortable and happy.

A nickname for army punters is Percy Pongo as in "where ever the army goes the Pong goes".

Plus as a member of the RAF you will never have to steal cutlery.

Thanks! Everyone has been such a good help on here . The only thing that worrys me is the fitness and training. I've been on a few sites and have got some exercise plans to do. Definately need to start doing more pressups etc because that is probably going to be the hardest thing for me!

Do more of them! Make sure that you are doing them properly as well, as with any exercise it is better to do 10 decent repetitions than 20 poor ones.
