Just a bit more from the RAF point of view.
My dad's fiance recently joined the RAF (bit older than you) in the intelligence area. They are now living near London and she is loving it. I was actually up there visiting this past weekend and it seems like she is comfortable and happy.
She was pretty busy all the time though

Ashleigh, it was inter-service banter. As the bootnecks on here will agree, the Army is a grotty collection of individuals that have an aversion to washing.
A nickname for army punters is Percy Pongo as in "where ever the army goes the Pong goes".
Plus as a member of the RAF you will never have to steal cutlery.

No, what you mean is that the army have to actually do some work, outside of an office, and therefore get a bit mucky in the process! Ive just joined a gym there for 3 months, Ya get a personal trainer etc so hopefully they get me into shape quick, make pressups abit easier for me!
