Paulie: Couldn't have put it better, mate. You're starting to worry me, though. Your dad wasn't hanging around RAF Abingdon in the early '60's by any chance, was he?

The local tom kept rogering my cats on our farm a couple of years ago. Bloody kittens all over the place. He was a big black thing, like a scaled down panther. Muscles in his shyte. Think I could get him? I swear he knew the sound of a safety catch being clicked. I had him in my sights on three occasions and he escaped every time. Finally, I borrowed a skunk trap from the county office and put some chicken in it for him. You should have heard the comotion next morning down by the barn. He was going ballistic in there. When the nasty bugger saw me he launched at me trying to get at me though the trap gate. Hence, I had to forego my deposit on the trap as it had .22 cal holes in it.

Now, it's not cats but racoons. can't shoout in the neighbourhood here, though, so time to buy a crossbow!

A-S,
I never bothered too much about the barn ferals, least they
kept the rats on the run, cull twice a year, problem solved.
My major prob.was groundhogs, fat buggers would dig holes all over the pastures,my three dogs helped in that department though.
Errr....RAF Abingdon,that would have been me,not my dad :o
