Fy fan kompis, det var tråkigt nyheterHolger Danske wrote:GAME OVER!
JA, Det har sgar slået flere af mine venner ihjel, no shit!!
Help me..
What Holger,in his shock and sadness (so I understand him thinking & writting in Danish ) said is: "Yes, several of my friends were killed yesterday, no shit!"
I can only assume he's referring to Danish soldiers killed in Helmand.
Hence the uncertain face and the "Help me"

Sorry.
The last one killed in Helmand was a good friend of mine and last night i found out that another very close friend will loose both his legs.
It really sucks.
He's coming home monday.
It's just tough right now.
Had one to many beers last night

My guess would be something like, "it's great to see you" then just treat him the same as you always have done, I think most people would prefer that to having people pussy foot around them all the time.Holger Danske wrote:FTF do i say when i meet him?
What's happened to him is terrible but he's still the same guy so won't want to be treated any differently now.

It's terrible mate, but you'll have to help his family convince/show him that as bad as it seems now it's not the end of the world. With the prosthetic limbs available these day's it really is possible for amputees to live active lives.
See this link as an example:

Also look at the Paralympics there's plenty of double amputees compete there, life will go on and I know it'll be really tough for him especially at first but in the long run hopefully he will realise it's not a death sentence and that he will still be able to enjoy life.
