Joining army as officer

Post by dedankimathi »

Hi, Im yet 2go for AOSB briefing n i encountered this challenging question n wondered if anyone has got a clue. You are in Afganistan in a remote province in patrol and acompanying food distribution. On your way you encounter a mob of armed and clearly very angry locals, what would you do? (There is no right or wrong answer. PS: U r an officer leading 25 soldiers)

Use spell check or all the keys availible on your computer to spell a word, standards , especially for a future rupert.

As an officer you should turn to your senior NCO and ask for advice, then do what Tab said

mob of armed and clearly very angry locals," not talaban .. I have no idea but being the British army chances are it has something to do with diplomacy or falling back can't see the UK army not trying to avoid locals.

Quickfoot it to latest goverment built SuperGanners Casino, insert coin into machine and pull lever until you come up trumps with 2 Minds & 1 Heart (or possibly 1 Mind & 2 Hearts), collect winnings, use to pay crowd to become calm and productive members of society, back to base, tea and medals all round.

(Luckily this is the kind of hypothetical bollox that you get asked on recruitment websites, but not at AOSB, where it's a bit more detailed and logical)

I'm - to go - and - I - and - on patrole - you are.

Ask if you can defer answering the question until you have qualified as an officer.

Isn't it supposed to be something to test YOU? If you need help maybe you should wait until you can. No offence :)
