Erm it's a kit list mate, what does it matter which year it was from :roll:

But to answer your question it was from 2007.

There reason I wanted to know was because more kit might have been added to the list at a different date. I thought that the army gave military sewing. If not does anyone know which one to go for. I was not sure if I should get this one:

Copied alpha's then added what's on my 'Recruit Training - Next Step' booklet - latest version.

CLOTHING & EQUIPTMENT

One smart set of civilian clothing
A jacket/coat
Several pairs of underwear (at least 7)
Several pairs of socks (at least 7)
A pair of training shoes
A pair of swimming trunks
Large towels (at least 2)
Nightwear
Sports sweatshirt
Running shorts
Tracksuit


PERSONAL HYGIENE

Soap and soap dish
Shaving Gel/foam
Razor, detachable heads. pack of 5. Not disposable
Tooth brush and tooth paste
Flip flops
Nail clippers
Cotton buds
Foot powder/cream for athletes foot
Shower gel, Deodorant.
Washing powder
Nail brush
Handerchiefs (although f**k that, i'll be taking tissues)
Face cream
Comb (although don't see why you'd need it with a crew cut)


OTHER EQUIPMENT

Coat hangers x10 inc. trouser hangers to avoid creases in wrong places supposedly
Boot brushes
Large tin of black shoe polish
A4 plastic inserts for folder
A cheap dark coloured watch
A roll of black masking tape
A metre of black inch wide elastic
A sewing kit containing needle & thread (dark colours) & safety pins
Alarm clock
Letter writing paper, envelopes & stamps
Permanent marker to mark your uniform
Steam iron
Small pen knife with a blade no more than 3 inches
Small torch with batteries
Strong combination/key locks (at least 5)
Basic 1st Aid Kit
Heavy duty bin liners
Calculator
Clothes brush
2 Black biro's, 2 pencil's, and an eraser.
Mobile phone
Spare laces
Small radio/tape/cd player



The bits i've added in the last section are written in the booklet 'm typing from as 'optional'

Should I get some Zinc Oxid Tape? I've ordered the web tex kit for the sewing kit, boot kit and small first aid kit. Just wondering if there’s anything else that not on the list that people would recommend getting?
